Clallam Goes To Clark

Saturday, Jan. 28. First major gimik for the year! Clallam goes to Clark! Hmm... let me see if I can document most of it...
First, meeting each other. Papaps and Melay picked me up in Eastwood - same with Jaymee and Myers. We had breakfast at Jollibee Libis but Melay and Jaymee had Delifrance. Then, we started our journey to Clark Pampanga.
We had to meet Paul's sister in a Drift Competition in the Expo Trade Center in Clark. She joined us as we checked in Holiday Inn Villa inside Mimosa. My gosh, it was expensive huh! P11,000+ just for an overnight stay. However, when we got to the place, it was worth it! Very cozy, very relaxing...
After we have settled down, we went back to the Drifting competition. The competition is about drivers gracefully skidding as they drive. I believe this competition was the first Drifting competition in the Philippines. I got to see some awesome action (boy, I can't describe the adrenalin rush!) and some awesome cutie drivers too... Some very young. The winner of the competition was a 15 year old driver (gee, I didn't know they can have a driving license that young). As drivers exhibited their talents, they created a lot of dirt in the air. Now I can literally say Eat Dirt!!! During intermission, we left the competition and ate Lunch at Mcdonalds. After eating, we went back to watch drifting.
After the competition, we went back to the Villa and rested. Ria arrived soon. She came with her family who was kind enough to bring her to Clark. They just attended the funeral of her grandfather.
Dinner Time. We went out and looked for a place to eat. We were told to go to Aling Lucings if we wanted some tasty sisig. We did find that and had a hearty meal.
Before returning to our villa, we stopped by Ministop and got some drinks - for us to have a sound sleep. I got Vodka Cruiser Blueberry and Vodka Chocolate Mudshake. It was good and really helped me sleep.

Before we went to bed, we looked at some pics and videos taken during Melay and Paul's wedding. It gave us the chance to reminisce our Clallam days... Sigh...

Here's some pics of the Villa...

Sunday morning. We had Buffet Breakfast at the Holiday Inn Hotel. The package we got only reserved 4 breakfast so Jaymee, Myers, Ria and I took advantage of that. Paul and Melay went to Jollibee since Melay had been craving for Longanisa Meal. As for the Buffet Breakfast, absolutely yum, yum!!! Here's a picture of the 4 Devourers!

Since we were so full, we decided to walk and look at the premises. We got to see the pool and I wanted to swim. Not knowing if I can still do that, I told the devourers to take a picture of me with the pool as the background.

And I got my wish!!! Yehey!!! Papaps and I got the feel of the pool!!!

Time to check out. Before doing that, some last minute poses...

Wanna do this again...

Finally, we're going home. We ate KFC for Lunch - talked about Paul and Melay's wedding preparations to give some tips for Myers. We dropped Jaymee at SM Centerpoint, Myers in Katipunan, then Ria and I got off at Eastwood. Before we parted ways, Melay gave me strawberry jam. Thank you!

Well, that ended our Gimik. I hope that's not the last because I truly enjoy being with this team that I consider a family... God Bless you all!!!

Friday Night Out with Chikki and Jhery

I went on Double shift Friday to prepare for an Out of Town gimik with my Clallam Family. My boss was kind enough to allow me to have that set up.
So, I was already out by 8pm. My sister Lynette gave me movie passes for "Don't Give On Us" so even if I was able to watch the movie last week, I don't mind watching it again - this time with some friends. I was able to convince Chikki and Jhery to watch with me. So, we went to Glorietta 1 and started the movie - being amused by Juday and Piolo's funny lines.
After the movie, we went to Gerry's Grill. Unfortunately, Jhery couldn't join us since she has to go back to the office and be with husband Lester. Oh well, she has other roles! Anyway, that's to our advantage since Chikki and I get to eat all the food!!! Hahaha! The Dinosaurs are still active! We ordered Tuna Sisig, Grilled Pusit and Kinilaw na Tanigue. As for our drinks, we decided to be a bit "alcoholic". Chikki ordered Long Island Tea (iced tea with Gin) and I ordered Four Seasons Cocktail drink. Chikki was a bit tipsy with her drink so I got to drink it. Wow! Haven't had alcohol in my system for a very very long time!
After having a few chat and all, we parted ways. I had to prepare my things for my Out of Town that will happen in a few hours...

Talked To My Baby on the Telephone Long Distance

After a long, long time, I got to talk to Saghir. I missed his voice and I'm just so happy to hear him! Yeah I know, it's a fairy tale still but I feel happy - and that's all that matters to me... Well, I started singing this song... Might as well document it.
Never Let Her Slip Away

Slip away slip away slip away
Never let her slip away

I talk to my baby on a telephone long distance

I never would've guessed i would miss someone so bad
I really only met her bout a week ago
It doesn't seem to matter to my heart i know
That i love her
I'm hoping that i never recover
'cause she's good for me
And it would really make me happy
To never let her slip away

Slip away slip away slip away
Never let her slip away
Slip away slip away slip away
Never let her slip away

I feel like a kid with a teenage crush On a school day
I feel like it lead in romeo and juliet yea
I'm a little bit dizy i'm a little scared
I guess i never felt this much aware
But i love her
I'm hoping that i'll never recover
'cause she's good for me
And it would really make me happy
To never let her slip away
Slip away slip away slip away

Never let her slip away
Slip away slip away slip away
Never let her slip away

I really only met her bout a week ago
It doesn't seem to matter to my heart i know
That i love her
I'm hoping that i'll never recover
'cause she's good for me
And it would really make me happy
To never let her slip away
Slip away slip away slip away

Never let her slip away
Slip away slip away slip away
Never let her slip away
Slip away slip away slip away
Never let her slip away
Slip away slip away slip away
Never let her slip away
Slip away slip away slip away
Never let her slip away

Don't Give Up On Us...

Manny Pacquiao vs. Erik Morales... What a fight! And I'm so happy that Manny won! What a great honor for the Philippines!!!

I also watched Don't Give Up On Us... Haayyy... so nice to be in love. I've had a few Loves in my life... I'm a martyr who always clings on to wonderful memories. I just want to fight until the end... This song is truly inspiring...

Don't give up on us, baby

Don't make the wrong seem right

The future isn't just one night

It's written in the moonlight

And painted on the stars

We can't change ours

Don't give up on us, baby

We're still worth one more try

I know we put our last one by

Just for a rainy evening

When maybe stars are few

Don't give up on us, I know

We can still come through

I really lost my head last night

You've got a right to stop believing

There's still a little love left, even so

Don't give up on us, baby

Lord knows we've come this far

Can't we stay the way we are?

The angel and the dreamer

Who sometimes plays a fool

Don't give up on us, I know

We can still come through

Saturday Night Out with Vtech Peeps

I had a very tiring week and was looking forward to having some time off work.
I was supposed to watch a movie with a friend but he didn't confirm so I had to make other plans. Lito was kind enough to invite me to join their group. I met him at Tiendesitas in Libis - along with Chris, Karen and Martin. We had some chit chats before we decided to look for a different place since Tiendesitas will close at 12 midnight. One thing I like about Tiendesitas is its very cultural design and concept. Below is a picture of one of their ceiling decoration.

We rode Chris' Mercedes Benz and we went to Pier One (near Metro Walk in Ortigas). We ordered some drinks and maki's and nachos. Chris gave me some tips on how to lose weight. I just hope I can start doing it. We also talked about plans for upcoming gimiks like Puerto Galera. Boy, I wish I could be there!

Soon, Pier One asked us for the last order. Too bad... And the group still wanted to be together. Well, Lito wanted to go home but we tricked him into joining us still. We went to Something Fishy in Eastwood. Most of us ate the Breakfast Buffet for only P80.00.

As we are having that transition from night to early morning, the discussion got serious and serious. I was so shocked to learn the struggles and deception happening in Vtech. The twist and turns of relationships caused my heart to do a somersault! I am a believer of second chances but with what I've heard, this may not be an easy notion to suggest. I'm just sad that most of the intrigues concern the band that we love so much - "JUAN". Almost all the band members have inner battles. It's like they were too united even when it comes to problems. "All for Juan and Juan for all!" I just hope that in due time, things would fall into place...

As for my own battles, I'm surviving... For the Vtech peeps, I'm thankful that you welcomed me...

Elimination Round - Battle of the Bands

14 Call Center bands competed today to determine who will make it to the top 8 bands who will fight on Feb. 5 for the Battle of the Bands. I'm proud to say that our group "JUAN" was 3rd Place! Way to go team!!! All my shouting and cheering paid off!!!

I was supposed to be with a new friend that day but I guess he had some other plans. That's okay. As a Senior Training Coordinator, I was used to having back up plans. I didn't want my day to be ruined. I'm so glad that Acie and Rowny were with me and kept me company. It was also so kind of them to bring me home. Thanks!
We went to Tiendesitas and had dinner. I met Lito, another friend. I wanted to join their group but I felt that it's not appropriate at that time so I decided to just go home.
I had something extra before leaving Tiendesitas. I saw Joey of SIDE A and had a picture with him! Hey, it's not everyday that you meet celebrities, okay?

I hope that my new friend and I can go out together. I would like to know him a bit more. But that depends...

Management Meeting at Chili's

Mark called for a Management meeting at Chili's in Makati. I went there with Elaine and Acie. Soon, Norvin, Manly and Mark arrived.

We ordered good food. I like Chili's because of its American size servings.

Mark just said Thank you for having a wonderful team through us. That was so sweet of him. It is encouraging to have someone believe in your capabilities. We also spent some time reviewing our plans and updates in training.

Speaking of sweet, when we were on our way back to RCBC, I rode with Mark, along with Elaine and Acie. My boss had a phone call and his very first line was "Hi Sweetie!" Oh god, my boss is in love!!! Good luck to your new relationship Boss!!!

Missing Clallam

Paul and Melay picked me up at RCBC and we went to Starbucks People's Support to have a little chat.
We are trying to plan an Out of Town get together for our beloved Clallam team in C3. They will soon me migrating to Canada and we just wanted to be together before that happens.
As we try reminiscing our happy times, I can't help but miss my Clallam Family. Because of that, I'm showing some of our scanned pics (since we can't afford digicams then) so that you can witness the closeness we shared...

Miss you Clallam!!!

Narnia and Friends

I have another balikbayan friend. Jeff's in town - straight from Dubai!!!

We decided to see each other, have dinner and watch a movie. The group agreed to watch The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe.

We first stayed in Gateway's Foodcourt. We have Eugene, Marc, Frank, Jeff, Ian, Daboy and gf Charlene, Lily, Ginger and Me as the attendees.
I got some gifts from Lily and Fwank. As for Fwank, he gave me a cute stuff toy that I named Michiko.

After dinner, Ian, Daboy and Charlene had to say goodbye. Too bad. But we are still planning to meet them someday for a badminton match.

Then, the rest watched Narnia. It's a good movie although it truly caters to a younger audience but I enjoyed it anyway. It's always uplifting to have the good win vs. evil. It makes you feel that God is always at your side...

Worship Night and Ate Remi

Ate Remi - a very close friend from Church is here in the Philippines for a short vacation. She's working in Dallas, Texas. I cannot afford not to meet here while she's in Manila.

God's timing is good. He can arrange things for us. Our church has a worship night. It's a perfect opportunity to nurture my spirit and meet them as well. Ate Jing coordinated where I can meet her. We decided to meet at Figaro's Gateway. I will be seeing other churchmates as well - Celine and Tonette.

When everyone arrived at Figaro's, we proceeded to our Life Center. I experienced wonderful worship. It made me feel extra close to God.

After the worship night, Ate Remi treated us for Dinner at Superbowl in Gateway. With us would be Pastor Erich and Ate Miriam, Celine, Tonette, Jing and Me. We had a wonderful time just talking about our lives. It's good to have friends to share your joys and even sorrows. It makes me feel a normal person that's not so perfect, but real.

I'm looking forward to see you again Ate Remi. Until then!
